Megan came into our care a couple of months ago. She has spent so long in kennels, she’s taken some time to get used to home life. She’s been in foster with our amazing and experienced fosterer Mick. We’ve also had some help settling her in and working with her with Adam at K999. She’s been living with Hugo, Mick's male greyhound boy who’s as sweet as can be and has been a steady rock for Megan.

Megan is a little sweetheart she's been in kennels a long time, so is looking for a second chance of life and love.
Megan's totally clean indoors and lets you know when she needs to go out. She has got used to screaming children in the park walks past no problem, cats she'll stare at but no reaction.
She's getting used to other dogs running around, I stop with her and let her watch them and move on when she looks away. She needs fine tuning when she meets other dogs as excitement takes over she's been told off by a few dogs and she backs off no retaliation which is good.
Hopefully there's someone out there who's willing to give Megan the chance at a life she deserves thank you.
Megan can live with another dog of similar size or as and only dog.
No cats or small furries at all.
Children over 10 years old.
Someone who can give her the love and guidance she needs and to continue her training out and about around other dogs.

Basil the Bassett Hound is about 2 1/2 - 3 years old. He came into our care through another rescue.
He’s not had the best start to life but oh my gosh it’s not affected him at all. If you ever thought about owing a basset hound then Basil is definitely your man. He’s never been in a home before so we have no idea if he’s house trained or not so he may need some work on that.
He loves everything and everybody - he greats everyone politely and kindly and loves all other dogs, people, children.
He is a fantastic lap dog and will happily climb up for a cuddle. Does pull on lead a bit but with a little more training will be great.
He did a meet and greet at the dog show today and wasn’t fazed by anything. He thoroughly enjoyed being part of the event - considering he has only just arrived into our care and probably not seen anything like this at all he was AMAZING.
He could possibly live with a dog savvy cats but is not cat tested.
Can live with children over 4. He absolutely loved meeting children at the show.

Panda came into our care from another rescue with his brother Marshmallow. Both are very shy dogs but Panda is gaining in confidence and loves treats. His brother has just been rehomed and Panda will be going into an experienced foster home so we will get to learn more about him . He needs to be with other dogs as this has been his life and we feel it will help him adjust to home life if he has a friendly and confident companion
He’s spent his whole life in kennels so will need a calm and patient home He’s also never been walked or on a lead so is learning about this also.
Can live with children over 8 as smaller ones may frighten him.

Mj arrived at The Haven Rescue in Ireland before Christmas and would love to find a forever home. We have offered him a space here hoping to find him a home quickly.
Mj was picked up as a stray and never reclaimed. He is handsome due, 3-4 year old Springer Spaniel who is a lovely sociable dog who adores his humans.
Mj has been in rescue since before Christmas and has been a great fella, he is fully crate trained, fully vaccinated microchipped and castrated.
He is looking for a forever home with the following requirements:
* He can be dog selective and would prefer a home as an only dog.
* No cats
* He is fully crate trained.
* He can live with dog savvy parents and children.
However he is a dog and does jump up (training ongoing) so may knock tiny toddlers.
• He loves his walks and offlead time ( in a secure area )
• He started with allergies of the skin which is now under control. We’ve taken him off all meat dog food and is now on insect based dog food which is helping his skin. He’s also been on some medication to help. So he must stay on the food.
His ideal home would be in the countryside with a big garden where he can run & play. Mj is spotless in his crate and kennel so house training should come to him easily especially if you continue his crate routine which we would recommend.

Biff came into our care with his brother Bart from another rescue. Unfortunately they didn’t get much attention and their confidence has been hit hard.
These boys are nervous of most things, however since being with us for just over a month Biff has come on so much. He’s been going on walks on his own to try and build his confidence which is paying off.
We would love a foster home with a confident resident dog to help give confidence and show him the ropes while he is waiting for his forever home. This would be such a bonus for this boy as being in kennels is not ideal.
He’s still nervous though so is going to need a special home who can give him all the time and patience he needs to thrive. He needs more one on one and plenty of love to help him overcome his fears.
They need a home as kennel life is not productive for them. They aren’t very big dogs roughly Labrador size.

Bailey is around 10 years old and a Terrier cross. Bailey came into our care with 2 other dogs from a not so nice situation. (More info will be given after application and a home check is done).
He’s an aloof boy. He likes to potter around and do his own thing. He loves his food and if you have treats he’s your best friend.
He’s clean in the kennel and good on lead. Bailey would suit an older person or couple who just wants a dog for companionship. We had to give him a bath and brush when he arrived because he was very dirty.
Had no issues with him being bathed but he wasn’t keen on his legs being brushed. He may of had a bad experiences with a groomer. Lisa our local groomer was very patient with him and managed to get his legs clipped and nails cut.
We don’t know if he’s been around other animals so a home without cats and small furries a must. Children over 8.

Grace is a stunning 2-year-old Tibetan Mastiff who came into our care after being abandoned and taken into the pound. After serving her 7 days, we were able to offer her rescue and the chance of a much brighter future.
Although we don’t know much about Grace’s past, she has shown herself to be a very friendly, affectionate, and loving girl.
When she arrived, her coat was in terrible condition — extremely matted in places, with some mats the size of tennis balls and tight to the skin. Due to this, parts of her coat had to be shaved. She was also very skinny and malnourished.
Grace will need regular, ongoing grooming to ensure her coat is never allowed to become matted again. Our groomer Lisa did an amazing job with her and absolutely adores her.
Grace is on the smaller side for a Tibetan Mastiff, only 38.6kg in weight. but she has a big personality! She is bouncy, playful, and full of character. She seems good around other dogs but would happily live as the only dog in the home, as she loves having all the attention — a true diva at heart.
She knows some basic commands but will need a home willing to continue her training. Grace can be strong on the lead, though she does settle on walks and then happily plods along. She would be best suited to a home with older children aged 12+, as her playful and bouncy nature could easily knock over younger children.
Grace has not been tested with cats, so we are looking for a cat-free home, with no small furries. She is clean in her kennel and would thrive in a home with previous hands-on experience owning mastiffs, not just walking or meeting them.
Grace is a special girl who has clearly had a rough start, but she has so much love to give. With the right experienced home, she will make a loyal and devoted companion. 💜🐾
