Megan came into our care a couple of months ago. She has spent so long in kennels, she’s taken some time to get used to home life. She’s been in foster with our amazing and experienced fosterer Mick. We’ve also had some help settling her in and working with her with Adam at K999. She’s been living with Hugo, Mick's male greyhound boy who’s as sweet as can be and has been a steady rock for Megan.
Here’s what Mick has to say about this gorgeous girl Megan.
Megan is a little sweetheart she's been in kennels a long time, so is looking for a second chance of life and love.
Megan's totally clean indoors and lets you know when she needs to go out. She has got used to screaming children in the park walks past no problem, cats she'll stare at but no reaction.
She's getting used to other dogs running around, I stop with her and let her watch them and move on when she looks away. She needs fine tuning when she meets other dogs as excitement takes over she's been told off by a few dogs and she backs off no retaliation which is good.
Hopefully there's someone out there who's willing to give Megan the chance at a life she deserves thank you.
Megan can live with another dog of similar size or as and only dog.
No cats or small furries at all.
Children over 10 years old.
Someone who can give her the love and guidance she needs and to continue her training out and about around other dogs.

Onslow has just come into our care from the racing industry. He seems to be a very gentle soul and very tall. He weighs in at about 35.5kg. He’s a big lad. Lovely to walk on the lead.
Good around other dogs and has been around younger children 5+.
No cats or small furries.
As he’s just come in, we will add more information about him as and when we can. But if you’re wanting a big male greyhound, Onslow is the dog for you. He’s absolutely adorable.
He’s only raced 23 races and finished last year. So he now needs to find his forever home where he can just chill and be a dog.

Taz came into our care with Pumpkin & Spice and is brother to Marshmallow and Panda who we re-homed not long ago.
He’s a small cross breed. He does look like a puppy collie but he is fully grown now.
He is a very friendly boy, but he hasn't had much lead experience so is learning.
He travels well in the car. He is clean in his kennel. He is good around other dogs. He’s not tested with cats or small furries so we suggest a home without them. He can definitely live with other dogs.
Taz could possibly live with children over 8 he is very bouncy.
While Taz was at another rescue centre he broke his front leg which they have fixed but it has healed bent. He holds it up when he gets tired but seems to walks well on it . He has also broken all 4 canines which aren't bothering him and he eats well. He loves his food and is a quick learner. He would love a home where he can get plenty of mental stimulation as he won’t need too much physical exercise due to his leg.
He’s such a friendly boy who will give a family so much love and many laughs, he makes us laugh all the time at the rescue with his antics. He deserves an amazing home of his own as we are not sure he has ever had one.

Arthur came into our care after being surrendered. He was very skinny and his coat was dirty and greasy and he was covered in sores. He’s now gained over 3kg and his coat is shinny and healthy and all his sores are healed. He has a lot of scars all over his body and has not had a great life but all that is changing.
He's very loving and friendly. He loves other dogs. He loves food and treats. Walks great on a lead. He is house trained. Will make someone an amazing companion. Arthur needs an active home with people who like plenty of walks. Would probably suit a family because he loves being around people. He would also be happy to share a home with a confident resident dog.
Would advise not living with cats or small furries.
Any new home must have a very secure garden because he can climb fences. So at least 6ft without any edging or anything that is easy for him to climb.
Arthur is not enjoying kennels - there must be someone out there looking for a companion to share trips and to create loving memories.
He has the sweetest temperament and needs a loving home to spend the rest of his life in with people who will love him forever.

Meet Leo he came into our care with his mum Pumpkin who has since been homed. He’s a small cross breed. He has been saved from a terrible situation.
Leo has been struggling with trust issues and is currently in a foster home with a very experienced person and his pack who are helping Leo to overcome his fears and to learn about living in a home and that the world is not a scary place.

Biff came into our care with his brother Bart from another rescue. Unfortunately they didn’t get much attention and their confidence has been hit hard.
These boys are nervous of most things, however since being with us for just over a month Biff has come on so much. He’s been going on walks on his own to try and build his confidence which is paying off.
We would love a foster home with a confident resident dog to help give confidence and show him the ropes while he is waiting for his forever home. This would be such a bonus for this boy as being in kennels is not ideal.
He’s still nervous though so is going to need a special home who can give him all the time and patience he needs to thrive. He needs more one on one and plenty of love to help him overcome his fears.
They need a home as kennel life is not productive for them. They aren’t very big dogs roughly small Labrador size.

Poor Layla was taken by her owners to be PTS. We saw a FB post by the vets who she had been taken to asking if any rescue could take her. She had allegedly had a fight with her sister whom she had lived with all her life without issue, but when they were put into a kennel together and they fought. She has no marks on her and we do not know the truth however we are in desperate need of a foster or forever home for her.
She has been selective with dogs she has met and to be on the safe side we are looking for her to be the only dog in the home or maybe slow introduction to a similar size Lurcher or greyhound boy.
She is in foster with 8 other dogs which she’s become comfortable with. She loves the male greyhound she lives with and loves to play with him. She ignores all the smaller dogs but on the safe side when it’s an excitable time she does wear a muzzle but that’s becoming less and less now.
She is muzzle trained. She travels well in the car and will make someone a lovely companion around the house. She is great with humans and just wants a quiet home where she can have cuddles and some peace to relax in her older years.

Moe has just come into our care with Huey. She’s a very friendly little girl with plenty of spark. She’s not had the best start to life but is now ready to fine her amazing new forever home
Her size is a bit bigger than a cavalier so not a big girl.
She’s not keen on being on lead but is slowly getting used to this. More training will be needed. She loves to play with Huey.
Her coat isn’t great so she will be going to our groomers as soon as we can book her in.

Huey has just come into our care. He’s not had a great life previously and can be nervous of new situations. He’s not too good on lead at the moment but slowly getting used to it. He will need some training.
He’s about cocker spaniel size. He’s very hand shy too and takes some time to get used to new people stroking him. His coat isn’t in the best condition so will be going to our groomers.
Huey will need an understanding home and some training and we’re sure once he’s in a new home with another confident resident dog he will make someone a great companion.
He’s not been around other animals apart from dogs so a home without other animals inc cats would be best for him.
Children need to be older and willing to give him the space he needs to settle.
