Jacob is a 5-year-old Greyhound who has recently finished his racing career and is now looking for a loving home where he can relax and enjoy the next chapter of his life.
With his calm and quiet nature, Jacob is proving to be a sensitive soul who craves companionship and love.
Jacob arrived at the shelter alongside Cracker, his kennel mate. It’s clear that Jacob gets along well with other dogs of similar size, and he’s adjusting to his new surroundings with a quiet grace.
While he’s still settling in, we’ve already noticed that he’s clean in his kennel and walks beautifully on a lead—no pulling, just a calm and steady pace.
As Jacob is still new to the shelter, we’re excited to learn more about him as time goes on. We’ll be sure to update his profile with more details about his personality and preferences as we get to know him better.
For now, we can already tell that Jacob is going to make a wonderful companion for the right family.

Sam’s story hasn’t been an easy one, but this resilient boy is ready to start a brand-new chapter. Found as a stray in Laois, Sam was in rough shape when he arrived at the pound—suffering from mange, sore skin, and the marks of a difficult life. But thanks to the amazing team at The Haven Rescue in Ireland, Sam received the care he needed and is now on his way to finding the loving home he’s always deserved.
At just 2 years old, Sam is a young, confident, and sociable sighthound with a zest for life. He’s got an adventurous spirit and an infectious enthusiasm, especially when it comes to the great outdoors. Whether you’re looking for a canicross buddy, a hiking companion, or simply someone to enjoy long walks with, Sam is your guy.
He may have been through a lot, but his past hasn’t dimmed his love for life. In fact, Sam is anything but your typical laid-back sighthound—he’s full of energy, curiosity, and a real passion for exploring. He’s not a fan of being cooped up in a kennel and dreams of the day he can settle into a loving home, enjoying the adventures that await.
Sam’s Ideal Home:
-
An active household that enjoys daily exercise and outdoor adventures
-
Would thrive as the only dog in the home (no cats or small furries)
-
Loves attention and will happily curl up for a post-adventure snooze
-
A family or individual ready to make memories and share lots of fun, love, and cuddles
Sam is castrated, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and has his own passport—ready for any adventure that comes his way.
His past may not have been easy, but today he’s a happy, thriving boy who’s eager to put it all behind him.
He loves traveling, enjoys the simple pleasure of a good pup cup, and is ready to make new memories with his forever family.
Could you be the one to give Sam the loving home he deserves this Christmas? He’s ready to trade his difficult past for cuddles, companionship, and a future filled with love and adventure. Info:
Karina is a beautiful older Corgi who came into our care through another rescue after experiencing a very difficult start to life. Despite her past, she has such a loving nature and is now ready to find the wonderful forever home she truly deserves.
Karina is a friendly, affectionate girl who absolutely loves being the centre of attention. She enjoys a good fuss, soaking up all the love she can get, and she’s very food-motivated too! She is currently a little overweight, but with a balanced diet and regular exercise, she’ll soon be feeling her best again.
She can live with other dogs and is currently sharing a kennel with two others. Karina walks reasonably well on the lead. She can sometimes be a little bossy with other dogs, but responds well to a firm “no” and settles quickly.
She is very food-oriented, she can be protective around meals, so she will need to be fed separately from other dogs.
Due to her age, we feel Karina would be best suited to a home with children aged 12 and over, or an adult-only home. We don’t know how she is with cats, so a cat-free home is recommended.
Karina is a sweet, loving girl with so much affection to give. She’s more than ready to leave her past behind and enjoy the comfort, love, and security of a forever home.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will adore you endlessly, Karina could be the perfect match
If you think you could offer Karina the amazing forever home she deserves, please get in touch today.

Hank has been with us a while, he is a beautiful big lad born on July 4th, 2019, who’s now ready to trade in his racing days for a comfy bed and a loving forever home.
Breaks our heart to think such a beautiful soul has spent 6 years locked up - he deserves his own home asap - he has done his time behind bars he has earn't the right to be loved and to have the comforts of a home.
He’s a big guy and might unintentionally bump smaller kids in his excitement so older kids are preferable.
Hank is a gentle, loving, and eager to please. This boy thrives on affection and would love nothing more than to be doted on.
After spending the first six years of his life in racing kennels, Hank has finally had a taste of home life – and he’s taking to it like he’s always belonged.
Now living with three other greyhounds in foster care, Hank has shown just how ready he is to leave his past behind and step into the life he truly deserves.
His foster mum describes him as :-
“an absolute sweetheart” who’s settled in beautifully from day one."
“He’s just fitted in like he’s always been here, it breaks my heart to think such a beautiful soul has spent six years locked up. He’s done his time behind bars – he’s earned the right to be loved and to have the comforts of a home.
Hank has quickly mastered the art of being a house dog. He’s crate-trained, house-trained, respectful with the other greyhounds, and a connoisseur of all things soft and comfy. He’s already discovered the sofa (and yes, it’s now his throne), and he absolutely loves a comfy bed.
He’s gentle, laid-back, and thrives on affection. At heart, Hank is a big softie who wants nothing more than to be close to his humans and feel part of a family.
Hank is the kind of dog that changes your life with his quiet loyalty and soulful eyes. He’s eager to please, easy to love, and more than ready to find a forever home that will love him back just as much.
Hank is more than just a good dog—he’s a once-in-a-lifetime kind of companion, and whoever welcomes him home will be gaining a loyal, laid-back best friend.

He is vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated. He is also neutered.

❤️Summer❤️ A Sweet, Spirited Young Greyhound
Sex: Female
Age: 2 years
Breed: Greyhound
Dog Friendly : Yes - larger
Cat Friendly: No
Kids : Older 10+
Neutered : Yes
Vaccinations: Yes
ALL OUR DOGS WILL COME WITH 5 WEEKS FREE INSURANCE THROUGH AGRIA.
Info:
Meet new girl Summer. D.O.B. 03/08/2023.
Say hello to Summer, a bright and beautiful young girl who has just come into our care. At just over a year old, she’s full of energy, curiosity, and affection — ready to begin her journey toward the loving home she deserves.
Summer is a friendly and playful young Greyhound who adores people and has a lot of love to give. She’s especially fond of cuddles and giving kisses, and she absolutely lights up around her favourite humans.
Summer’s Ideal Home:
-
Children 10+, as she’s still learning her manners
-
Another dog of similar size – she had shared her kennel happily with Angus
-
No cats or small furries
-
An owner committed to continuing her training and socialisation
Summer has a high prey drive, which means she will need time and positive experiences to become more comfortable around smaller dogs. For now, she’ll need to be muzzled on walks while she continues her socialisation and learns how to navigate the world around her calmly.
She’s very food-motivated — which makes training easier — and is learning not to snatch treats in her enthusiasm.
Summer has gone into a foster home and is adapting really well to home life - she is loving the comforts that this brings and is getting out and about to socialise her more. She loves going to the beech, car rides and walking with different types of dogs and is becoming more sociable with smaller ones with a muzzle on. She can be left for few hours with no issues and clean in the house. Walks lovely on harness and lead. She is loving home life and would love to find her forever home.
Here is what her foster parents have to say :-
She's been out on walks with other dogs, got on well with my parents' greyhound when they stayed over, been round busy Chester... I could go on! She freezes when she sees dogs but she's doing so well and is just curious. She's happy for other dogs to come up to her and sniff her - a little dog was trying to lick her face earlier and she didn't bat an eyelid! She pulls if another dog's playing nearby offlead but she does the play bow so clearly wants to play ....
If you'd like to offer Summer a forever home, please fill in our online application form. If you’re successful you will receive an email from us (please check your spam), have a home check, then we invite you to meet the dog. Please answer every question in full and what we ask for otherwise your application will be deleted straight away. (Inc proof from your landlord if renting. )

Info:
Winston is a handsome young Corgi who came into our care through another rescue after having a very tough start to life. Despite what he’s been through, he’s now safe with us and ready to find the loving forever home he truly deserves.
Winston is a gentle, sensitive boy who can be a little timid around people at first. He needs a calm, patient home that will give him the space and time he needs to build trust. Once he feels safe, he does come around and will even take treats—though he may be a bit unsure at the beginning.
He is dog-friendly and is currently sharing a kennel happily with two other dogs, so he could live with a confident canine companion and would probably benefit from living with another dog to show him the ropes. We do not know if Winston has ever lived in a home so you must be prepared to put in some training on this should it be needed. Winston is still learning about the world and isn’t used to walking on a lead just yet, but his training has already begun and he’s making progress.
Because Winston can be nervous around people, we feel he would be best suited to a home with children aged 12 and over, or ideally an adult-only home. We don’t know how he is with cats, so a cat-free home is recommended.
Winston is still young and will benefit from continued training, socialisation, and plenty of reassurance. With the right home, love, and patience, this sweet boy will truly flourish and become a wonderful companion.
If you’re looking for a loyal friend and have the time and understanding to help Winston grow in confidence, he could be the perfect addition to your family 💜
If you'd like to offer Winston a forever home, please fill in our online application form. If you’re successful you will receive an email from us (please check your spam), have a home check, then we invite you to meet the dog.
Please answer every question in full and what we ask for otherwise your application will be deleted straight away. (Inc proof from your landlord if renting. )

Info:
Sweet Yogi is only around 5 months old and, heartbreakingly, found himself abandoned and taken to the pound. After serving his 7 days with no one coming forward, we stepped in to offer him a safe place as his PTS date was due. Awful a puppy left in the pound to die.
We may not know his past, but we know his future can be bright with the right family.
Yogi is an absolutely gorgeous pup with a loving, friendly nature. He adores other dogs and is full of energy, curiosity, and affection. Being a young puppy, he will need ongoing training, but he’s incredibly quick to learn and eager to please.
Because he’s bouncy and playful, Yogi would be best suited to a home with children aged 8+, as he may accidentally knock smaller children over.
He would thrive living with another confident dog who can continue showing him the ropes, and he may be able to live with dog-savvy cats.
Yogi is currently being fostered by our amazing fosterers, Julia and Mei, and their dogs. Here’s what Julia has to say:
“Yogi Bear is a most loving puppy. He has learnt quickly from our dogs where boundaries lie. He is bright and playful— a bit keen to jump up but improving with gentle, consistent training. He is not housetrained yet, but he is learning quickly. He’s talkative, sometimes sounding like Bagpuss!
He is going to be a big boy, judging by his feet and legs. We know nothing of his past, but he is boxer-like. He will need a home that is loving and patient and prepared to put the training in to fulfil his amazing potential.”
Yogi is a beautiful soul who didn’t get the start he deserved, but he has so much love and loyalty to give. If you can offer patience, guidance, and lots of affection, Yogi will grow into the incredible companion we know he can be.
If you think Yogi could be the newest member of your family, please get in touch — he’s ready to find his forever home.
If you'd like to offer Yogi a forever home, please fill in our online application form. Jen came into our care through another rescue and hasn’t had the easiest start in life. Because of this, she can be very nervous, especially around new people and in new situations.
More detailed information will be discussed with potential adopters once they have progressed through the full adoption process.
Jen would benefit from having a quiet confident dog in the home to help her adjust and to show her the world is not a scary place. She is a very sweet girl who just needs some time and understanding to adapt.
We’re unsure whether she has ever lived in a home, so she may need some initial housetraining — but she is a quick learner and highly food-motivated, which will help her settle in.
