We honestly can’t understand why Megan hasn’t had a single application.
This beautiful girl has waited so patiently for her chance, and after spending such a long time in kennels, she is finally learning what it feels like to be part of a home.
Megan came into our care last year and has been enjoying life in foster with our wonderful fosterer Mick and Hugo, Mick’s lovely male greyhound, who has been the perfect companion for her — a calm, steady presence helping Megan find her confidence. We would love to find Megan a home where she can have the companionship of another lovely dog, ideally another greyhound who can continue to show her the ropes.

Esther has just come into our care from the pound after serving her 7 days stray hold.
Esther is around 2/3 years old and a very tiny Bulldog. We have never seen one so small.
It is apparent she has not had the best life so far - her skin is sore, she is absolutely filthy so will be having a bath, she has a cherry eye and needs spaying.
She’s booked in for her cherry eye and spay surgery for the beginning of September so will be ready for her new home after that.
She’s a very loving girl and enjoys loads of fuss and cuddles. She loves playing with a ball and is very playful. She’s fine around other dogs and could possibly live with dog savvy cats.
Children over 6 would be preferred.

Taz came into our care with Pumpkin & Spice and is brother to Marshmallow and Panda who we re-homed not long ago.
He’s a small cross breed. He does look like a puppy collie but he is fully grown now.
He is a very friendly boy, but he hasn't had much lead experience so is learning.
He travels well in the car. He is clean in his kennel. He is good around other dogs. He’s not tested with cats or small furries so we suggest a home without them. He can definitely live with other dogs.
Taz could possibly live with children over 8 he is very bouncy.
While Taz was at another rescue centre he broke his front leg which they have fixed but it has healed bent. He holds it up when he gets tired but seems to walks well on it . He has also broken all 4 canines which aren't bothering him and he eats well. He loves his food and is a quick learner. He would love a home where he can get plenty of mental stimulation as he won’t need too much physical exercise due to his leg.
He’s such a friendly boy who will give a family so much love and many laughs, he makes us laugh all the time at the rescue with his antics. He deserves an amazing home of his own as we are not sure he has ever had one.

Arthur came into our care after being surrendered. He was very skinny and his coat was dirty and greasy and he was covered in sores. He’s now gained over 3kg and his coat is shinny and healthy and all his sores are healed. He has a lot of scars all over his body and has not had a great life but all that is changing.
He's very loving and friendly. He loves other dogs. He loves food and treats. Walks great on a lead. He is house trained. Good around children. Will make someone an amazing companion. Arthur needs an active home with people who like plenty of walks. Would probably suit a family because he loves being around people. He would also be happy to share a home with a confident resident dog.
Would advise not living with cats or small furries.
Any new home must have a very secure garden because he can climb fences if left too long unattended. So at least 6ft without any edging or anything that is easy for him to climb.
Arthur is not enjoying kennels - there must be someone out there looking for a companion to share trips and to create loving memories.
He has the sweetest temperament and needs a loving home to spend the rest of his life in with people who will love him forever.

Leo has been struggling with trust issues and is currently in a foster home with a very experienced person and his pack who are helping Leo to overcome his fears and to learn about living in a home and that the world is not a scary place.

How is this possible?
Biff has already been rescued once from a life no dog should ever know. Instead of finding the loving home he deserves, he's spent over a year waiting in kennels (not all of that time with us), watching other dogs leave while he stays behind.
Every day he waits is another day without a sofa to curl up on, a garden to explore, or a family to call his own.
When Biff arrived with us alongside his brother Bart, they were both incredibly worried by the world. Their confidence had been knocked, and everything felt scary.
But this beautiful boy is trying.
With gentle encouragement and one-to-one walks, Biff has already made such lovely progress. He's beginning to trust, beginning to explore, and beginning to believe that people can be kind. Imagine how much further he could come if he finally had a home.

Meet Bart.
A gentle soul who was rescued from a life of misery, only to spend more than a year waiting for someone to choose him. Not all of that time has been with us, but every extra day in kennels is another day without a family to call his own.
It's heartbreaking because there is nothing wrong with Bart. He simply needs someone who understands that trust takes time.
Bart came into our care with his brother, Biff, after being transferred from another rescue where they struggled to get noticed. The lack of interest knocked their confidence, but despite everything, Bart is trying so hard.
Every day he gets a little braver. He's been enjoying solo walks with our team to help build his confidence, and we're so proud of how far he's come. Beneath the worried exterior is a truly lovely boy who just wants to feel safe and loved.

Poor Layla was taken by her owners to be PTS. We saw a FB post by the vets who she had been taken to asking if any rescue could take her. She had allegedly had a fight with her sister whom she had lived with all her life without issue, but when they were put into a kennel together and they fought. She has no marks on her and we do not know the truth however we are in desperate need of a foster or forever home for her.
She has been selective with dogs she has met and to be on the safe side we are looking for her to be the only dog in the home or maybe slow introduction to a similar size Lurcher or greyhound boy.
She is in foster with 8 other dogs which she’s become comfortable with. She loves the male greyhound she lives with and loves to play with him. She ignores all the smaller dogs but on the safe side when it’s an excitable time she does wear a muzzle but that’s becoming less and less now.
She is muzzle trained. She travels well in the car and will make someone a lovely companion around the house. She is great with humans and just wants a quiet home where she can have cuddles and some peace to relax in her older years.

Huey has just come into our care. He’s not had a great life previously and can be nervous of new situations. He’s not too good on lead at the moment but slowly getting used to it. He will need some training.
He’s about cocker spaniel size. He’s very hand shy and will take a lot of time to bond with you he will take some time to get used to new people stroking him. His coat isn’t in the best condition and will need to go to the groomer once he has grown in confidence.
When Huey is ready to be homed he will need an understanding home to allow him time to settle and trust and he will need a confident resident dog to help support him - he will make someone a great companion in time.
He’s not been around other animals apart from dogs so a home without other animals inc cats would be best for him.

She is a very sweet girl who’s had a terrible start to her life. She is a small Basset and at the moment is overwhelmed. She is very shy so we will let her decompress but would love to find her a home. She may well not have lived in a home before she will need time to settle and to learn to relax, trust and bond with a new owner.
She’s come in with Berni another Basset Hound. She seems good around other dogs. Never been around cats or small furries but we don’t think she would be bothered living with dog savvy cats.

Tinder is coming in on Thursday from The Haven Rescue in Ireland.
This is what The Haven Rescue has had to say about this very handsome Boy.
Tinder has had home experience but was returned, once for being over excited and barking at other dogs in the dog park .. and the other time for barking at a strange man in the house.
Lovely gentle fella, would prefer a home with a female dog.
Crate trained, fully vaccinated, wormed, castrated etc.
Walks well out in public if owner is confident and walks past dogs if corrected when he thinks about barking.
Has walked in the park with me and Rosie and been perfect.
He would be suited to an active home and some experience with sighthounds and able to put more training into him. A little work will bring big rewards.
