Molly

Sex: Female

Age : 8.5 years

Breed:  Greyhound

Dog Friendly : Yes

Cat Friendly: No

Kids : Older or not at all

Neutered :  Will need to be

Vaccinations: Yes

Info:

Molly is a gentle older lady she will be 9 in June but she is a happy little greyhound who is just no bother at all. She gives you the most lovely welcome when you come home. She can be a little timid when she first meets you but soon comes round.

Loves going out for walks and gets excited skipping about waiting to go out the door - a stroll of 2 x 30 minute walks a day suits her just fine she loves a good sniff.

At home she is good to be left for a few hours so long as she has the run of a house and can choose the bed she wants to lie on. Molly is looking for a 5 star loving quiet retirement home with humans who are around most of the day as she likes to be with you.

Molly loves her comfy memory foam beds.

She does not get on the sofa and so far does not come upstairs, so if you have a bungalow that would be ideal as she would like to sleep on her bed in your bedroom too.

Molly had lived with her previous owner from a 12 week puppy so never raced. This has all been a big change and she has taken it in her stride.

She was only relinquished due to her owners ill health. She spent most of her life in the kitchen, I believe, as the house was rather busy but had two other dogs for company and a small holding to run round. She is in foster with two male greyhounds and gets on with them.

We are looking for her to have full access to a home as she rather enjoys that. She is not destructive although she does like to take the odd slipper or shoe to her bed if you leave them in her reach. She would be happy with another similar aged quieter dog as a she lived with dogs all her life. She is also small dog friendly.

She is polite around food - although a slow eater so would need a quiet place to eat her food at her pace.

Clean in the house - asks to go out.

She is okay in the car.  She likes her little adventures and settles down for the journey.

Molly’s requirements befitting her lovely nature:

 - 5 star home with full access to all rooms

 - Comfy memory foam beds

 - Another older quieter friendly dog for companionship

 - A garden to potter around and sniff and to have the odd zoomie

 - Although she lived with children, at this stage in her life we would like a home ideally without or with      older quieter teenagers only. She would be fine with visiting children so long as there were supervised and not allowed to crawl over her or torment her.

 - 2 walks a day as she likes to get out and sniff (she does not pull on the lead)

 - Good quality feeds and treats (she is putting a little weight now which was needed)

 - Humans who are around most of the time.

If you'd like to offer Molly a forever home, please fill in our online application form.

Home check and adoption fee apply. She is vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated.

She will need neutering once she’s had her next season(non negotiable).

Lifetime rescue backup. And can rehome U.K. wide.

Nigel

Sex:  Male

Age:  12 months

Breed:  Cane Corso

Dog Friendly : Timid needs more socialising

Cat Friendly:  Not tested

Kids :  No

Neutered :   No - he will need to be when old enough

Vaccinations:  Yes

Info:

Poor Nigel so needs his own home he has been in kennels for months and since being vaccinated he has had a terrible reaction which has given him IMPA which causes rheumatoid arthritis. After a few horrible flare up's for a condition he will now have for life, this is being managed with steroids and we’re going to change his diet adding additional natural foods to help his immune system and his joints. New owners will need to keep him on medication which hopefully on low dose won’t cost too much.

He has come on so much in kennels but needs someone to understand him and train him. He is going to make someone a wonderful companion if you have the time and patience to give him what he needs.  He was an unclaimed stray and in his short life had not seen the good side of humans so has a couple of issues that just need working on with time, patience and a good knowledge of training young pups and with mastiff experience.

He had little experience of the outside world when he arrived  and could be reactive towards dogs, but he is improving and with someone who is willing to work with him to socialise him around dogs, and to do it in a calm environment with quiet and respectful dogs who aren’t in his face or off lead he will improve in leaps and bounds

He’s been assessed by Adam the behaviourist here is what he has to say.:

  • Nigel needs a stable home with someone who is willing to put the time into training him and helping him with his fears.

  • He learns very quickly so won’t take him long.

  • He reacts to raised voices and we are sure he’s been beaten.

  • Nigel is very willing to work and is very food driven which helps.

With time and love and training he will definitely make someone an amazing companion.

Due to his sensitive nature he will need a home without children and other animals. Someone who has experience with mastiffs and are willing to put the time, effort, patience and training into helping this young pup for his future.

Adam the behaviourist has said if your local and need guidance he is there to help too.

If you'd like to offer Nigel a forever home, please fill in our online application form.

Home check and adoption fee apply. He will need to be neutered when old enough, proof will be required. This will be in the adoption contract.

Meet Millie. Lurcher/ greyhound but small, collie size. DOB 3/12/2011.  We are looking for a loving home for this older lady so she can experience warmth and comfort and perhaps a sofa to call her own.  She is used to living and being outdoors so looking for a family with a garden where she can spend time if she wants.

Sadly her owner has passed away and the family can no longer take care of her.

  • Kind with other people and children according to the family.

  • She has a very quirky right ear as seen in the photos adds to her character.

  • She is a really sweet girl.

  • She has not been vaccinationed since initial ones but is microchipped.

  • She is not spayed.

  • We are told she is good off lead.

She will need a home with a very secure garden and we are looking for someone who is willing to have her in their home. We are not looking for her to be housed in a kennel outside.  Please remember she has never lived in a home so will need training and time to adjust.

She’s had a full health check and is in good health for her age.

Oakley.png

Oakley

Sex:  Female

Age: 1 year

Breed: Bulldog X

Dog Friendly : Yes

Cat Friendly: No

Kids :  Yes older

Neutered :  No  - will need to be when old enough

Vaccinations:  Yes

Info:

Oakley is a one year old bulldog cross possibly boxer. She came in as a unclaimed stray in a horrendous emaciated condition.  She was scheduled to be PTS which we could not let happen.  She immediately went into foster care and has received tons of TLC - and good regular meals and is now back to full health.  She looks amazing and is ready to find her own furever home.

She has been in foster so is learning all she needs to know. She’s good with other dogs but can be a little over zealous so will need a friend who can put her in her place,  but is able to play with her and teach her the ropes.

She could live with children over 8 as she may knock smaller ones over in play or excitement.

No cats or small furries.

This is what her foster mum has to say about her:

Oakley is a loveable girl. She loves her cuddles and thinks she is a lap dog. She needs a home with someone around most of the day as she is still a puppy.  She has had a terrible start to life but is so loving. She will need puppy training as she has not had any to-date other than basic training in her foster home.

Whoever has her must carry on the house training she is learning slowly but will need time and patience.

Her diet must be adhered to until she is at the right weight.   She eats her food quickly (not surprisingly) but is getting better and you can look at using slow feeder bowls etc to help with this.  More information and advise will be provided.

When in a car she has to wear a harness with a dog seat belt.

All she needs is patience, love and guidance. Oakley is a absolute joy to be with.  She needs someone who is willing to train her and spend time with her - she is a cracking little dog who will make someone an amazing companion.

f you'd like to offer Oakley a forever home, please fill in our online application form. Please answer every question in full and what we ask for otherwise your application will be deleted straight away.

Home check and adoption fee apply. She is vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated.

Joey

Sex:  Male

Age: 8 months

Breed:  Jack Russell x Collie Mix

Dog Friendly : Yes

Cat Friendly: No

Kids :  Yes older

Neutered :  No  - will need to be when old enough

Vaccinations:  Yes

Info:

Meet Joey. He came into our care in December very poorly and emaciated we dont think he would have lasted much longer .  He went straight into a loving foster home and has come on leaps and bounds.  As he is only 8 months old he is full of energy and has a massive zest for life.

This is his write up from his foster mum.

He is going to need a very special home who will give him jobs to do every day. Maybe agility, scent work, something where he will work his mind more than his body tired. He’s a clever boy and learns to quickly.

Joey is a smart enthusiastic kind boy, he learns fast and gives his all to his training, he is kind and great with all people and children.

Joey is good with other dogs but needs to be put into a crate when he gets a chew as he can growl at other dogs when he has something nice.

He never growls at people even if you take it off him.

Joey must be walked every day otherwise he will not settle in the evening even.   Even when he has been to training he will still needs his walks.

I feel that Joey needs a job whether it’s agility or some sort of job on a farm or sniffer training.

Joey is more orientated on you than other people and dogs when you are out and stays with you and doesn’t run off and always comes to call even if there are people around.

Joey is constantly on the go whether it’s playing with my dogs or chewing his chew.

Joey is a good boy and goes to training weekly but I feel like he needs more than I can give him .

Joey has never been left home alone as I have other dogs so maybe better with one other dog who is happy to play.

When left with my other dogs he doesn’t cry or howl. Usually he is put in the kitchen with my other dogs when I go out as Joey can jump a baby gate with ease.

At bed time Joey is put in his crate and sleeps all night.

Joey needs an active family who has another dog and is home most of the time.  He will need ongoing training.  If you want a quiet couch potato - this is not the dog for you.

If you'd like to offer Joey a forever home, please fill in our online application form. Please answer every question in full and what we ask for otherwise your application will be deleted straight away.

Home check and adoption fee apply. He is vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated.

He will need neutering once he’s settled into his new home and at 12 months old. (Non negotiable)
