Megan came into our care a couple of months ago. She has spent so long in kennels, she’s taken some time to get used to home life. She’s been in foster with our amazing and experienced fosterer Mick. We’ve also had some help settling her in and working with her with Adam at K999. She’s been living with Hugo, Mick's male greyhound boy who’s as sweet as can be and has been a steady rock for Megan.
Here’s what Mick has to say about this gorgeous girl Megan.
Megan is a little sweetheart she's been in kennels a long time, so is looking for a second chance of life and love.
Megan's totally clean indoors and lets you know when she needs to go out. She has got used to screaming children in the park walks past no problem, cats she'll stare at but no reaction.
She's getting used to other dogs running around, I stop with her and let her watch them and move on when she looks away. She needs fine tuning when she meets other dogs as excitement takes over she's been told off by a few dogs and she backs off no retaliation which is good.
Hopefully there's someone out there who's willing to give Megan the chance at a life she deserves thank you.
Megan can live with another dog of similar size or as and only dog.
No cats or small furries at all.
Children over 10 years old.
Someone who can give her the love and guidance she needs and to continue her training out and about around other dogs.

Olive came into our care after being found as a stray once her 7 days were up we stepped in to save her and to find her a loving home. Olive is friendly and confident and loves people and other dogs.
She also loves her food and treats. She’s clean in her kennel and waits to go out.
She will be going to our vets next week for a health check and to start her vaccinations. We will also get he booked in to be neutered.
She’s good on lead and enjoys a walk. Her recall seems good but will need more work.
We think she would enjoy a family with older children and possibly another dog to play with.
She does have a scar on her front leg as you can see in the photo. No idea what she had done but it’s an old scar.

Taz came into our care with Pumpkin & Spice and is brother to Marshmallow and Panda who we re-homed not long ago.
He’s a small cross breed. He does look like a puppy collie but he is fully grown now.
He is a very friendly boy, but he hasn't had much lead experience so is learning.
He travels well in the car. He is clean in his kennel. He is good around other dogs. He’s not tested with cats or small furries so we suggest a home without them. He can definitely live with other dogs.
Taz could possibly live with children over 8 he is very bouncy.
While Taz was at another rescue centre he broke his front leg which they have fixed but it has healed bent. He holds it up when he gets tired but seems to walks well on it . He has also broken all 4 canines which aren't bothering him and he eats well. He loves his food and is a quick learner. He would love a home where he can get plenty of mental stimulation as he won’t need too much physical exercise due to his leg.
He’s such a friendly boy who will give a family so much love and many laughs, he makes us laugh all the time at the rescue with his antics. He deserves an amazing home of his own as we are not sure he has ever had one.

Arthur came into our care after being surrendered. We were contacted by another rescue to see if we could help this little guy. We couldn’t say no. This poor lad was in an awful state. Very underweight, covered in scars all over his face, head and neck. It was obvious he has had a horrendous time so far. His coat was dirty and greasy and he looked like he had not had much love for some time.
He looks like a whippet /lurcher he isn't very big. Despite all he has been through he is a very loving and friendly boy. He adores other dogs. He loves his food and treats. He walks great on a lead. He is clean in his kennel. He will make someone a truly amazing companion.
We have not tested him with cats or small furries but due to his breed we would advise against him living with any.
This boy deserves the best, he has the sweetest temperament and is so loving. He desperately needs a comfortable warm home to spend the rest of his life in with people who will love him forever. He would be fine to live with or without another dog.
We will be booking him in for vaccinations and neutering now that he has gained some weight and is stronger.

Meet new Boy Spice - Spice has come into our care with his mum Pumpkin. He’s a small cross breed. He has been saved from a terrible situation.
He is a very friendly boy once he gets to know you. He can be nervous to start with but soon warms up if you have lots of treats.. He hasn't seen much of the world and we don't think he has had much experience on a lead but he is learning.

Hari came into our care after his owner no longer wanting him. He’s been in foster since with our amazing Fosterers Julia and Mei.
He had a very painful and infected mouth when he came to us but after having his dental he’s so much better. 18 teeth where removed and he was put on to antibiotics. He’s fully healed now and ready to find his forever family.
This is what his foster mum Julia has to say about this amazing little boy
Hari is good. Eating raw and tinned no kibble (18 teeth gone). He would cheerfully chase and kill our poultry so we would advise no cats or small furries.
He has recall in the house and garden but absolutely nothing outside in the wide open world
He is booked in on Tuesday to start inoculations. He is such a very happy loving little dog. Will go through the night without needing a wee but will mark in the house now and again. He will be neutered once he has had all his jabs.
Would suit a home either on his own or with another older dog for company. Once you meet him you will love him - we have grown very fond of him.

Mj arrived at The Haven Rescue in Ireland before Christmas and would love to find a forever home. We have offered him a space here hoping to find him a home quickly.
Mj was picked up as a stray and never reclaimed. He is handsome due, 3-4 year old Springer Spaniel who is a lovely sociable dog who adores his humans.
Mj has been in rescue since before Christmas and has been a great fella, he is fully crate trained, fully vaccinated microchipped and castrated.
He is looking for a forever home with the following requirements:
* He can be dog selective and would prefer a home as an only dog.
* No cats
* He is fully crate trained.
* He can live with dog savvy parents and children.
However he is a dog and does jump up (training ongoing) so may knock tiny toddlers.
• He loves his walks and offlead time ( in a secure area )
• He started with allergies of the skin which is now under control. We’ve taken him off all meat dog food and is now on insect based dog food which is helping his skin. He’s also been on some medication to help. So he must stay on the food.
His ideal home would be in the countryside with a big garden where he can run & play. Mj is spotless in his crate and kennel so house training should come to him easily especially if you continue his crate routine which we would recommend.

These boys are nervous of most things, however since being with us for just over a month Biff has come on so much. He’s been going on walks on his own to try and build his confidence which is paying off.
We would love a foster home with a confident resident dog to help give confidence and show him the ropes while he is waiting for his forever home. This would be such a bonus for this boy as being in kennels is not ideal.
He’s still nervous though so is going to need a special home who can give him all the time and patience he needs to thrive. He needs more one on one and plenty of love to help him overcome his fears.
They need a home as kennel life is not productive for them. They aren’t very big dogs roughly small Labrador size.

Bailey is around 10 years old and a Terrier cross. Bailey came into our care with 2 other dogs from a not so nice situation. (More info will be given after application and a home check is done).
Bailey has been in foster and here is what his foster mum has to say :
A little more senior, but up for a walk and little adventures!!
Sweet guy, he will answer when you talk to him, he has a recall, but can be distracted so needs reminding.
He has shown interest in our hens, but not in an attack way, I think he has just never seen them before and wants to know what they are. He has not been near our sheep, we have young lambs at the moment. He was indifferent when he met our cats.
He is good company, enjoys cuddling, but will also settle in his bed.
Bailey will position himself at the door to go out for toileting, if you miss his signal you can have a puddle!! He is clean overnight so long as you let him out at bedtime.
When he arrived here it was just like he had always been here, our other dogs barely noticed an extra. He enjoys the company of our dogs but does not like to share a bed with them.
He is playful and likes a ball thrown for him. Happy to stay in the garden and does not mind missing a walk, but enjoys his walks and is good on a lead. He is more settled to have the lead on his collar as he leans and pulls into the harness.
He has been left, while we go shopping etc, and has settled into his bed. Not left alone with us as there is always doggy company.
He eats well and takes treats from your hand gently.
He would suit someone who has time to spend with him and would like a new brother or sister . He likes the garden and his ball just as much as a walk. A quieter boy, but still has loads to give. You will soon fall in love with this charming 💕 lad!!

Amelia has just come into our care and gone straight into foster with Julia and Mei along with Emma another Terrier cross we have rescued. Poor Amelia has not had the best start to life. She’s a little shy but does love cuddles.
She is good with other dogs. Amelia is slightly overweight but with a controlled diet and some exercise she will slim down and get fitter.
She walks ok on lead but will benefit from some general training and lead work. Amelia would benefit from a calm home so children over 8 and must have another dog in the home which would be nice for her. Due to her not setting without another dog. No cats or small furries.

Poor Layla was taken by her owners to be PTS. We saw a FB post by the vets who she had been taken to asking if any rescue could take her. She had allegedly had a fight with her sister whom she had lived with all her life without issue, but when they were put into a kennel together they fought. She has no marks on her and we do not know the truth however we are in desperate need of a foster or forever foster home for her.
She is finding her life at the moment very stressful.
She has been selective with dogs she has met and to be on the safe side we are looking for her to be the only dog in the home. She is muzzle trained and more information will be given to a possible fosterer. She travels well in the car and will make someone a lovely companion around the house. She is great with humans and just wants a quiet home where she can have cuddles and some peace to relax in her dotage.
