Roxy
Sex : Female
Age : 5 years
Breed: British Bulldog
Dog Friendly : Yes
Cat Friendly: Yes
Kids : Over 8+
Neutered : Will Be
Vaccinations: Will Be
Info:
Meet gorgeous new girl Roxy. She’s a 5 year old British bulldog. She is smaller than usual and has her tongue out all the time. She is the sweetest little thing.
She has only just come in to the rescue so we will be getting her into the vets for health check, vaccinations and neutering. She does have some sort of skin issue which we will be getting seen too as well.
This girl has been let down - previously she was used repeatedly for breeding and her recent home could not give her what she needed, so made the sensible decision to surrender her.
Despite all she has been through Roxy is very loving, great with kids, dogs and cats. Tbh she's just a fantastic girl . Her previous family says she has an issue with toileting in the home, so please be prepared for this but with training and positive reinforcement we are sure she will learn, especially if her new owners are around most of the time.
If you'd like to offer Roxy a forever home, please fill in our online application form.
Home check and adoption fee apply. She will be vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated. And will be neutered.
Lifetime rescue backup. And can rehome U.K. wide.

Duke
Sex: Male
Age : 13 months
Breed: Collie x
Dog Friendly : Yes
Cat Friendly: No
Kids : Over 12+
Neutered : Will need to be when old enough
Vaccinations: Yes
Info:
Sadly Duke has been returned. He started nipping at the younger children when playing like he would herding sheep (instinct) and the younger ones became scared of him. He’s a 13 month old collie x.
He’s a very playful loving boy. Travels well in the car, loves everyone he meets. Good with other dogs and older children. We would suggest children 12+ as he thinks younger ones he can herd.
No cats or small furries as he’s never been around them. Very energetic so will need an active home who will teach him all he needs.
He is house trained. Now in foster with other dogs. Learns quickly. Loves to play.
If you'd like to offer him a forever home, please fill in our online application form.
Home check and adoption fee apply. He is vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated. He will need to be neutered when old enough, proof will be required. This will be in the adoption contract.
Lifetime rescue backup provided.

Shadow
Sex: Female
Age : 5 years
Breed: Cane Corso
Dog Friendly : Yes
Cat Friendly: No
Kids : 12+
Neutered : Yes
Vaccinations: Yes
Info:
Shadow came into our care after being found as a stray and was due to be pts. She has been with us since June and just hates the kennels. We really would love to find her a home before Xmas.
She’s a 5 year old and a Cane Corso. It looks like she’s been bred from a lot and actually had some milk left, which makes us think she’s had her litter then been dumped. She just hates being without her person. She’s not a big Cane Corso and would love to be in her own home now.
Some things Shadow likes or needs : -
An Active home
Someone who is willing to spend time training her
She loves her food
She loves to play - so she needs someone with a garden
Someone to give her time to settle in to a home (we do not know if she has ever lived in a home)
Ideally mastiff or large dog experience.
Some lead training - she is so excited to get out she pulls to start. She is better in a harness than on a lead.
We have had her out and about and she seems good with other dogs and has been a dream when we have taken her out to socialise. We would suggest children 12+ due to not knowing her past.
No cats or small furries as we don’t know what she would be like with them.
If you'd like to offer her a forever home, please fill in our online application form.
Lifetime rescue backup
Home check and adoption fee apply.

General
Sex: Male
Age : 4 years
Breed: Greyhound
Dog Friendly : Yes
Cat Friendly: No
Kids :8+
Neutered : Yes
Vaccinations: Yes
Info:
Meet new boy General newly arrived from the racing kennels. He is a tall greyhound. He could possibly live with children 8+. No cats or small furries. He travels well in the car, seems good with other dogs. He attended a dog walk in Chester the other day and was very well behaved, greeting a number of other breeds of dogs quietly and respectfully. He has now gone into foster with two other greyhounds and is learning about living in a home. Whilst he would love another dog as a companion it is not essential. He’s good on lead but can be strong. Loves his food. He needs a loving caring home and a sofa to call his own.
If you'd like to offer General a forever home, please fill in our online application form.
Lifetime rescue backup.
Home check and adoption fee apply.

Phoebe
Sex: Female
Age : 5 years
Breed: Bulldog
Dog Friendly : Better as the only dog
Cat Friendly: Not tested
Kids : Depending on experience
Neutered : Will Be
Vaccinations: Yes
Info: Phoebe is nearly 5 years old. Phoebe came into our care on the 18th of May. Unfortunately she’s had very little interest. Although she doesn’t like other dogs she is amazing with people. She loves full on attention and cuddles. She’s just a sweet girl. We just don’t know why she’s being so overlooked.
She is struggling in kennels and just needs a home of her own to enjoy comfort and be spoilt. She’s had a hard life being bred from time and time again. She has been to the Vet and seems to have no health issue concerns. She loves to run and play.
Loves her food.
If you'd like to offer her a forever home, please fill in our online application form.
Home check and adoption fee apply.
Lifetime rescue backup provided.

Lilah
Sex: Female
Age: 8-9 Month
Breed: Whippet / Saluki Cross
Dog Friendly : Not in the home
Cat Friendly: Possibly
Kids : Yes possibly over 8+
Neutered : Will need to be when old enough
Vaccinations: Will be
Info:
Meet Lilah. A 9 month old whippet cross saluki. She has come in from the pound after doing her 7 days as a stray a week ago. She’s a very energetic girl who will need some training. She’s ok on the lead but can be a little strong. She is a typical playful and bouncy puppy who needs to learn some boundaries.
She’s ok with other dogs when on walks and on a lead but not so good off lead. She also gets protective over her food and others food and will have a go at another dog if they come close. She would suit a home as the only dog as she does have some jealousy issues. This can be worked on with time and patience.
Since being with us we have been working on her socialisation and food issues and she is responding well - she now lives next to Phoebe and has been out walking with Nigel and been well behaved on the lead.
She could also do with being socialised so we would suggest puppy classes. Due to her guarding over food we would suggest older children 8+ but they must be dog savvy and understand her issues.
She requires a home who will invest time and effort to give her mental and physical stimulation.
No other pets.
No cats or small furries.
If you'd like to offer Lilah a forever home, please fill in our online application form.
She will need to be neutered when old enough, proof will be required. This will be in the adoption contract.
Home check and adoption fee apply.
Lifetime rescue backup. Can rehome U.K. wide.

Nigel
Sex: Male
Age: 6 months
Breed: Cane Corso
Dog Friendly : Scared - needs socialising
Cat Friendly: Not tested
Kids : No
Neutered : No
Vaccinations: Will be
Info:
Meet gorgeous pup Nigel. A 6 month old Cane Corso. He was found as a stray, did his 7 days in the pound and was due to be pts due to lack of space and more dogs coming in.
He’s a very lovely boy but in his short life has not seen the good side of humans so has a couple of issues that just need working on with time, patience and a good knowledge of training young pups and with mastiff experience.
He’s shown a little food guarding and is scared of other dogs so reacts aggressively if he doesn’t know them. He needs someone who is willing to work with him to socialise him around dogs, and to do it in a calm environment with quiet and respectful dogs who aren’t in his face or off lead.
He’s been assessed by Adam the behaviourist here is what he has to say.:
-
Nigel needs a stable home with someone who is willing to put the time into training him and helping him with his fears.
-
He learns very quickly so won’t take him long.
-
He reacts to raised voices and we are sure he’s been beaten.
-
He’s scared when he toilets, he thinks he’s doing wrong.
-
Nigel is very willing to work and is very food driven which helps.
We have been working with Nigel and his food aggression is improving we can now hand feed him. He is very quick to learn and loves to please you. He also walks out nicely with Lilah and is in a kennel next to Roxy. With time and love and training he will definitely make someone an amazing companion.
Due to his sensitive nature he will need a home without children and other animals. Someone who has experience with mastiffs and are willing to put the time, effort, patience and training into helping this young pup for his future.
Adam the behaviourist has said if your local and need guidance he is there to help too.
If you'd like to offer Nigel a forever home, please fill in our online application form.
Home check and adoption fee apply. He will be vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated. He will need to be neutered when old enough, proof will be required. This will be in the adoption contract.
Lifetime rescue backup. And can rehome U.K. wide.
