💜Apple💜

Sex:  Female

Age:  3 years

Breed: Greyhound

Dog Friendly : Yes - larger

Cat Friendly:  No

Kids :  Older

Neutered :   Yes

Vaccinations:  Yes

Info:

Born 13/01/2022. She come into our care from racing kennels but has never raced.

She is a very active girl full of fun and energy. Good with other dogs she was kennelled with 2 others and is in a foster home with three male greyhounds. Fully house trained

She does have a high prey drive so will need a home with either another similar sized dog or an only dog and owners that understand what this means. Supervised in a home with smaller dogs she is good and she greets all dogs politely when out and about.

No cats or small furries.

Older children over 12 as she may knock younger ones over when playing or running around and is also a little unsure.   She is a gorgeous young girl who will make a great addition to a family she is full of life and makes you smile with her antics.

Apple is crate trained and happy to be left for a few hours but does need a good size garden to run around as she loves a game with her toys or football.   Apple loves to run so you will need to have access to a hired secure field to let her stretch her legs. She is great out and about happy in the car - lies down if you take her to a pub or cafe - she is a fantastic companion.

.

If you'd like to offer Apple a forever home, please fill in our online application form.

Home check and adoption fee apply.

Lifetime rescue backup. And can rehome U.K. wide.

Iris.png

💜Iris💜

Sex:  Female

Age:  3.5 years

Breed: Dachshund

Dog Friendly : Yes with careful introduction

Cat Friendly:  No

Kids :  Older

Neutered :   Yes

Vaccinations:  Yes

Info:

Meet Iris. 3 1/2 year old Dachshund. Sadly due to family’s change in circumstances (no judgement please) Iris is back in our care after 2 years.  She is very pretty but a typical Dachshund - she has a lot to say and she wants to be centre of attention. She has gone into foster with a number of dogs and we will update you on how she is getting on in a well established stable pack.

Iris originally came in from the pound 2 years ago after being abandoned by her original owner.

Her foster mum has this to say about her.

Iris sadly came back into rescue having had an amazing home. We loved her from the moment she arrived. She is a little dachund with an absolute heart of gold.

She is funny and cheeky!!

Housetrained and will ask to go out. She walks well on a lead, pulls a bit when she sets off, but settles quickly.  She has been our yard, around poultry, sheep and horses and was very sensible around the livestock. (Not sure if the sheep could actually work out what she is, they followed her!!)

She has an 80% recall. She always has a treat on her return, sausage is the favourite.

She has started to do scentwork and has attended her first training session. SHE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!! (Thank you Carolina (found it scent and trail) for your help and patience with all our rescue dogs.)

This little girl is a professional cuddler and likes to be with you at your side whatever you are doing.

She will bark if left alone,  but does settle.

Iris has joined our pack and has learned a lot from them. She gets on well with them and has learned her place.

She is active with a clever brain, which needs to be kept busy.

The adopter of this lovely girl will be getting a loyal and true companion who will return their love in spades.

Great with kids but has recently had a tendency to be rather grumpy so we could recommend older kids who will respect her space.

No cats / small furries or even puppies - Iris will fixate on them.

Fantastic in the car, loves an outing.

So Iris can live with children 10+. Maybe the only pet in the home or maybe a male similar size.  Someone who is around more than they are not.

If you'd like to offer Iris a forever home, please fill in our online application form. If you’re successful you will receive an email from us (please check your spam), have a home check, then we invite you to meet the dog. Please answer every question in full and what we ask for otherwise your application will be deleted straight away. (Inc proof from your landlord if renting. )

Home check and adoption fee apply. She is vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated. She is also neutered. Lifetime rescue backup.

And can rehome U.K. wide, but only if you’re willing to travel to North Wales to meet her.

💜Shadow💜

Sex:  Female

Age:   4/5 months

Breed: Labrador Cross possibly with some GSD in her

Dog Friendly : Yes

Cat Friendly:  Not tested

Kids :  Older

Neutered :   Will need to be when old enough

Vaccinations:  Yes

Info:

Available for adoption is Shadow. She’s a 4/5 month old Labrador cross possibly with some GSD in her (unsure what else at the moment, a good mix but will be lab size).

She is coming in to us through no fault of her own.   It is a sensitive rehoming case and more details will be given once application, home check, and interview process has been completed.

Shadow can live either as an only dog or with other dogs. She’s good around children so over 8 would be preferred. She could possibly live with cats and small furries but will need training.

She’s house trained and crate trained and is lovely to walk on the lead.

She is going to be an active dog so will need puppy classes and more socialising around everything.

She’s very intelligent and learns very quickly so an owner with experience is a must.  Being a puppy who’s had the worst start to life, she will need an understanding and experienced home to help her learn the ropes.  She is super friendly and we need someone who understands the work and commitment involved in owning a puppy.  You must also be at home most of the day as it would not be fair to leave her for long periods.

If you'd like to offer Shdaow  a forever home, please fill in our online application form.

She will need to be neutered when old enough and this will be part of the adoption process and is not negotiable.

Lifetime rescue backup. And can rehome U.K. wide.

🐾 Meet Kayleigh – A Little Lady with a Big Personality 🐾

Kayleigh has been through a lot, but she’s ready to find her forever home where she can finally be loved and spoiled the way she deserves.

When Kayleigh came into our care, from the dog pound having served her 7 days and being unclaimed, she was severely emaciated and in desperate need of nourishment and care. Thanks to regular meals and lots of TLC, she’s slowly gaining weight and confidence.

She was fostered with six other dogs and, true to her feisty nature, Kayleigh isn’t shy about letting others know how she feels – she’ll give a growl here and there, but it’s all bark and no bite.

She’s not aggressive, just a little lady who likes her space and wants to be respected.

Kayleigh recently went on trial with two chihuahuas, but unfortunately, they didn’t quite take to her. So, we’re back on the search for the perfect match.

💛 Ideal Home:

  • Could possibly live with a calm, older male small dog

  • Likely okay with cats

  • No children under 12

  • Best suited to an older person or a quiet couple

  • Someone who will understand her sass and will love her for it

Kayleigh is a special little soul who needs her forever home where she will be loved and cared for

Home check and adoption fee apply.

Lifetime rescue backup. And can rehome U.K. wide.

We are also waiting to see if she comes into season to know if she needs neutering - at which point she will need to be and this is non negotiable.

Patches.png

❤️Patches❤️

APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED

Sex:  Male

Age:  2 years

Breed: Chihuahua cross

Dog Friendly : Yes

Cat Friendly: No

Kids : No

Neutered :  Yes

Vaccinations:  Yes

Info:

Meet Patches, 2 year old Chihuahua cross. He has been in foster since May and is now thriving.

Here’s what his foster mum has to say about him. :-

Little Patches came to Skylor's having been in a bad situation. We don't know exactly what he went through, but he was very emaciated and shut down.  Weighing only 2kg. He has had regular weigh in's at our vets and has put weight on since he was changed onto a fish based dry food. All his blood tests have returned as normal.

He is a tiny dog, has chihuahua and terrier in him, we think.

As he has grown in confidence, he has become more cheeky, his adopter must be prepared for him being very quiet at first, but once he finds trust and settles they will see a loving bright little dog.

He loves to play with toys, especially a ball. He is housetrained in the day, but needs taking out regularly, occasionally wet at night but will use a puppy pad.

He has not had much time on lead walks with us as he was so thin, but he has enjoyed time on our yard, we have not taught a recall, but he very much stays with you, so has not been an issue.

He barked at our yard cats, not bothered by our hens. Threatened our donkey through the window!!!

Remember he does have terrier in him and as he becomes braver and his confidence increases this will come out.  We have a lot of dogs in assorted sizes.  He is very aware that the big dogs might stand on him or knock him. He has joined in with the smaller dogs with no problems.

Patches would enjoy a quieter home with loads of love and cuddles. He'd be a real sidekick for a person who needs that special kind of company. He would live with other smaller dogs.

We have no available children to see how he copes with them.

This little dog has a very big heart and despite what he has been through is loving and has come a long way in a short time. He now needs a perfect 5* home to carry on and help him become the confident dog he will be.

Patches can live with dogs of similar size, cats. We would suggest a home with no children and quiet to help him with his confidence.

If you'd like to offer Patches a forever home, please fill in our online application form. If you’re successful you will receive an email from us (please check your spam), have a home check, then we invite you to meet the dog. Please answer every question in full and what we ask for otherwise your application will be deleted straight away. (Inc proof from your landlord if renting. )

Arnie has been saved from death row having been found as a stray and doing his 7 days in the pound.  No owner came forward for him so now he’s in our care looking for his forever home.

Due to no background we’re learning more about this boy every day.

He's a cracking chap, very affectionate and loves being with you. Loves his food and a good couple of walks a day.

Clean in his kennel.

He seems ok around dogs but we would suggest him being an only dog in the home. Does pull on lead but settles once he’s out and about.

APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED

Sex:  Female

Age: 7 years

Breed: Cockapoo

Dog Friendly : Yes

Cat Friendly: No

Kids : Yes older and quiet

Neutered :  Yes

Vaccinations:  Yes

Info:

Meet Primrose who we rescued from the pound in January this year. She went straight into foster. She was in season and we found she had a tumour.

She’s had her op to remove the lump and she has now been spayed.  She has also had some teeth removed and we’ve had the test results back from the lump which is benign. Amazing news for us all.

Now she’s ready to find her forever family.  Here’s what her amazing foster mum has to say about her.

When she arrived she was in a terrible state. She had kennel cough. She was underweight, scared and had obviously had an awful life.

She is now in fantastic condition. She has no guarding issues and loves her walks. She is fully house trained. She will not play with toys at all. We have slowly worked with her on this but she is just not interested.  She eats butchers tin food. She doesn't like biscuits in her food. She was hand shy round her mouth but she is now ok. She has been in a quiet foster and she must carry on with that.

She is a fantastic companion and can be left for a couple of hours and is not disruptive. She can live with children over 10. This is easier for her. She loves other dog but we have kept her at a distance. She could live with a quiet dog.

Primrose needs a 5* home where someone will give her time to settle and continue to grow.

If you'd like to offer Primrose a forever home, please fill in our online application form.

If you’re successful you will receive an email from us (please check your spam), have a home check, then we invite you to meet the dog. Please answer every question in full and what we ask for otherwise your application will be deleted straight away. (Inc proof from your landlord if renting. )
