About us
Welcome to Skylor’s Animal Rescue. We are a small passionate foster based dog rescue, non profit and run by a family of 3. Dogs are mostly in foster homes with families and not in one place so please respect that you can not just drop by to see our dogs.
We rescue dogs from the pound unwanted and abandoned, pets who can no longer stay with their family and ex racing greyhounds straight from the track. We also help rescue and reunite dogs to their owners.
Viewing is by appointment only. Please note you cannot turn up without an appointment.
Our hours are (this includes telephone, email and message contact) :
Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4pm
CLOSED Sunday and Monday

VOLUNTEER
Could you volunteer? Whether it be dog walking, fundraising or fostering. We're always in need of your help.
Weekday walkers. Mornings preferably. Unfortunately we can’t take on anyone under 18 years old and you must have experience with dogs, especially larger breeds.
Please get in touch if you could spare a couple hours a day.

DONATIONS
Every penny donated to us is used to help our dogs in need.

New Kennels
Our current kennels are wooden and are rotting. We need to replace them for better long lasting ones. As a small family run rescue we value your support and would be grateful for any money you can donate toward this. Please click here to make a very valued donation.

As we are a family run business - please note our hours of business in relation to answering phone calls are as follows :
Tuesday - Saturday - 10am - 4pm
Sunday and Monday - Closed therefore we will not respond to any calls or messages.

Volunteering
We are looking for a couple of volunteers to help us at Skylor’s. Someone who can start at 8am 3/4 days a week. Cleaning, feeding and exercising our dogs on our field. This is just in the mornings. Message us if you can help. Dobshill, Flintshire.
Sponsoring a long term foster or Sponsoring a kennel
Reggie our Rottie boy is still with us. Unfortunately we don’t feel we will ever find him a loving new home that can help him with his issues. So unless we can find a perfect sanctuary for him, he will be staying with us forever and will be planning on getting him a great new kennel for him to enjoy.
We have 1 forever foster dogs. Bertie 15 years old who is with amazing Julia & Meirion. He will live out his days with them.
